Applications Accepted for Springfield Regional Chamber Leadership Institute

February 7, 2018

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., January 17, 2018 – The 2018 Leadership Institute will emphasize  strategies and techniques designed to create high energy and high involvement leadership for middle-to-upper mangers who have potential to make an impact on their organization and the community and who serve in key roles in volunteer organizations.

The Institute, which begins on February 15, runs for seven consecutive Thursdays from 1:00-4:30 p.m., is directed by Robert Kleine III, Dean of the Western New England University College of Business, and Jack Greeley, executive-in-residence at the University. Greeley has a strong background in management, strategic planning and consulting to a variety of organizations. The program is supported by the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation.

Sessions will focus on problem solving, learning to ask the right questions, and implementing creative and innovative solutions for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Participants will actively explore best practices of leaders; analyze their own leadership, learning and problem solving styles; and experience the synergies that result from high performing teams.

The emphasis will be on experiential activities that provide opportunities to identify, develop, and refine skill sets for effective leadership.

Upon successful completion of the Leadership 2018, participants will be eligible to enroll in a free graduate course offered through the College of Business at Western New England University (subject to certain requirements).

All sessions will be held at the TD Bank Conference Center, 1441 Main Street, Springfield.

Applications must be received by February 8, 2018. Tuition is $885 per participant and includes a day trip to Beacon Hill and a graduation dinner. For questions about the program or the application process, email Jessica Hill,

The Springfield Leadership Institute was established over 40 years ago by the Chamber to teach mid-and-upper-level managers the critical thinking and problem solving skills needed to enable them to be effective leaders in service to the community and their workplaces. In 1982, a partnership was formed between the Chamber and the Western New England College of Business.
