Apprenticeships and Internships Are the Real DealJanuary 30, 2017
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., January 30, 2017 – The Regional Employment Board of Hampden County presents “Apprenticeships and Internships: The Real Deal” at the Colony Club, Tower Square, 1500 Main St., Springfield on March 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
David Cruise, president and CEO of The Regional Employment Board, joins Keith Valley, Training Manager for American Outdoor Brands, in a dialogue about how apprenticeships are evolving as a new job creation/career development model. Their discussion focuses on how apprenticeships are good for business and how they can benefit companies as a workforce development resource.
The Regional Employment Board will launch an apprenticeship program in March for high school students, with funding for private sector apprenticeships in health care and advanced manufacturing. American Outdoor Brands and Baystate Health are participating in the program.
Reservations for Lunch ‘n Learn are $25 for members ($30 at the door) and $35 for general admission ($40 at the door) and include networking, lunch, presentation and question and answer session.
