Chamber June Breakfast to Feature Happier Inc. CEO Nataly Kogan, Chamber Successes, Citizen of the Year and Launch of Strategic Plan

May 9, 2018

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., May 8, 2018 –  The Springfield Regional Chamber will hold the last Business@Breakfast of its 2017-2018 season on June 6, 2017 from 7:15-9:00 a.m. at the Flynn Campus Union at Springfield College, 263 Alden Street, Springfield.

Presented by sponsor MGM Springfield and breakfast series sponsor United Personnel, the breakfast will honor Springfield attorney and community leader Ellen Freyman, shareholder in the law firm of Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, as the 2018 Springfield Regional Chamber Richard J. Moriarty Citizen of the Year. The breakfast is also the Chamber’s annual meeting and will include highlights of the Chamber’s past season, elections of its board of directors and this year, the presentation of a new three-year strategic plan.

As well, the breakfast will feature entrepreneur, speaker, and author Nataly Kogan. Kogan, CEO of Happier, Inc., and author of the recently published book Happier Now: How to Stop Striving for Perfection and Embrace Everyday Moments (Even the Difficult Ones)

Kogan emigrated to the United States as a refugee from the former Soviet Union when she was 13 years old. Starting her journey in the projects of Detroit, she went on to graduate in the top of her class at Wesleyan University, followed by careers at McKinsey and Company and Microsoft before becoming one of the youngest female venture capitalists in New York City. But, she found herself unfulfilled and was inspired to learn how to live a truly happier, fuller life. Her discoveries and explorations of scientific research, as well as Eastern disciplines such as yoga and Buddhism, led her to create Happier.

Happier’s award-winning mobile application, online courses, and Happier At Work™ training programs have helped more than one million people to optimize their emotional health.

Kogan is keynote and TEDx speaker and has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other news media.

Reservations are $25 for members in advance ($30 at the door) and $35 for general admission ($40 at the door).  Reservations are suggested and can be made online at
