MassLive and Berkshire Theatre CEOs to Headline C-Suite Conversations and Cocktails

April 23, 2018

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., April 23, 2018 – The Springfield Regional Chamber’s final C-Suite Conversations & Cocktails event of the season will feature Tim Kennedy, president of MassLive Media and Kate Maguire, artistic director and CEO of Berkshire Theatre Group on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at CityStage in Springfield.

C-Suite Conversations & Cocktails features local and regional executives in a moderated, but informal conversation. The program begins at 5 p.m., and immediately following the program, at 6 p.m., guests will have an opportunity to mingle in the lobby with the speakers over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Moderated by Carrie Saldo, host of WGBY's Connecting Point, Kennedy and Maguire will talk about their careers and lessons learned along the way, as well as their shared belief in the importance of storytelling - whether via the news media or on the stage, and how often stories go from the page to the stage.

Tim Kennedy has served as President of MassLive Media since February 2017. Since then the MassLive team has achieved significant digital revenue growth and their news brand - masslive.com - has reached record audience levels. In addition to being the #1 news site in Western Massachusetts, MassLive is the third largest in the state and fastest growing in New England.

In addition to his role at MassLive Media, Kennedy also serves as the Regional President for Advance Local, overseeing operations for Advance Media NY and Harrisburg, PA-based PA Media Group.

In 2010, Kate Maguire oversaw the merger of two historic organizations: Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge, where she began in 1995 as managing director, and The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, culminating in the creation of Berkshire Theatre Group.

Maguire has overseen several transfers of productions from the Berkshires to New York City, most recently Children of a Lesser God, which opened this month on Broadway and Stone Witch, which opened off Broadway in March 2018.

Tickets are $25.00 for Springfield Regional Chamber members in advance. Reservations can be made online at www.springfield regionalchamber.com or by contacting Jessica Hill at hill@springfieldregionalchamber.com.  Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
