Q: What type of news will you publish?

A: Chamber Channels publishes the business news of our members. We follow the industry standards for business news - milestones in business, new products, new staff, promotions, board appointments. If you have a piece of news and are unsure if it is "newsworthy," simply contact Maureen Sullivan at (413) 755-1312 or sullivan@springfieldregionalchamber.com.

Q: Can any business submit a press release?

A: No. Publication of business news is only available to Chamber members as just one of the many value-added benefits offered by the Springfield Regional Chamber.

Q: How do I write a press release?

A: Press releases should be concise and informative. The industry standard suggests that the release should answer the following questions: Who? What? When? Where? Why? and How?

The editor reserves the right to edit press releases at the discretion of the publication. Chamber Channels makes every attempt to publish member news on a timely basis; however, space is limited and publication is on a space-available basis.

Q: How do I submit a press release?

A: Press releases are accepted by fax at (413) 755-1322, by emailing sullivan@springfieldregionalchamber.com, or by mail to:

Q: Is there a cost associated with press releases?

A: Very simply. No. The publication of your important business news is a free benefit of Chamber membership.

However, if you are interested in purchasing a display advertisement or an insert, there is a nominal fee and only Chamber members are allowed to participate. Click here for advertising information.

Q: Is there a deadline for submission?

A: Yes. Chamber Channels publishes every month. Press releases must be submitted by the 10th of the month preceding the publication date. For example, if you want a press release to be published in the January issue, it must be received by the Chamber by December 10.

Remember: publication is on a space-available basis. If space is limited for your submission month, we will make every attempt to include it in an upcoming issue.
